It has been too long, I know! I know! Iโve missed you all so much.
Iโve written several posts in my head, but they never made it past my head. In the last few months, it seems like my life has been in fast-forward mode, and I did not have much time to come up for air. But I am not complaining, Iโve been super busy, but it has been for good!!!
Itโs NOVEMBER, famโฆWHAT!!!; for us in the United States, Thanksgiving is next week, and Iโm still trying to catch up. 2022 slow down, please!
Have you ever believed God for something for so long, and when it finally happens, you donโt know what to do with yourself? Yeah, that was me a few months agoโฆI still find myself in awe of God at random moments, like WOW, God always comes through! He ALWAYS comes through when we call! He truly answers prayers and does it in perfect timing!
Two things happened this year for me in ministry, and personally, that have been continuous images on my vision board for the past five years or so. When you go from vision board to reality, it is a BIG DEAL! Especially when it happens, when you least expect it.
God blessed us with our church property in September (my birthday month)! And the whole process was a miracle! It still blows my mind when I step into the building. God showed up and out for us after believing Him for six years!!! I hope I get the opportunity to share the entire testimony with you soonโฆin the meantime, rejoice with my church family and me!
And if you are in Houston, you must come through and say hello; Iโd love to meet you and welcome you to join our growing family!
The second thing that God did this year was to surprise my family and me with an all-expense paid vacation!!! It was indeed a dream come true and absolutely necessary. It has been a busy year, and I felt terrible because I didnโt do anything special for my children this past summer. Well, this trip made up for it; they had the time of their lives! And I enjoyed eating-sleeping-chilling-no cleaning-no cooking on repeat! I came back refreshed and pumped for the rest of the year!
Fam, God is good! He truly cares about every little detail of your life. He wants to give you the desires of your heart. He wants you to enjoy life, he wants you to be joyful, he wants you to believe Him for everything, and he will surprise you!

During the last quarter of every year, I take time to reflect, assess, and prepare for the upcoming year. And this year has not been different.
I want to share with you my top lessons for 2022; itโs been an interesting year!
- Lesson #1Working from a place of rest – if you know me, you know that I am passionate about anything I do. Sometimes, I can be extreme and overwork myself because I want to cross all Ts and dot all Is. Which isnโt all bad, right? But there must be a balance! I found myself burnt out earlier this year – stressed, physically tired, my health being challenged, etc. and I realized I had to slow down and get it together.
- After all, I need my body, mind, and health intact to do great things. I couldnโt put everything on the line just to check another item off my checklist!
- My Action Plan:
- I prayed and asked God for wisdom for this season of my life. I repented for not trusting God and asked for strength to do everything he asked me to.
- One life-changing strategy God gave me and confirmed through my spiritual mother and a mentor was to have a weekly sabbath. One day every week to rest! I spend extra time sleeping, have extended time to pray, study the Word, and plan for the rest of the week. I donโt do any significant work that day. It has been AMAZING!

- Lesson #2: God is my Provider – I learned this lesson a while ago, but it had to be relearned once I lost one of my streams of income randomly. You know how you make plans with expected fundsโฆI had it all figured out, and then BOOM! It caught me off guard, and it was a little discouraging.
- It was initially tough to let go and let God handle my finances. I felt like I should be at a certain level of wealth at this point in time. I wanted to graduate from believing in God for the โlittle stuff.โ
- I had to learn to be content and embrace delayed gratification.
- I had to reconsider my priorities, cut costs, and focus on investing in my future.
- I discovered that true wealth is not simply having tons of money in the bank but having what was needed when it was required – never being stranded. And time and time again, God has proven Himself!
- Please donโt get me wrong; having tons of money is still the goal, but its purpose is to use it to be a blessing to people, communities, nations, and institutions.

- Lesson #3: Right Relationships are Critical – Iโve spoken about relationships several times here. Like never before, God has emphasized the importance of developing the right relationships this year.
- Iโve had to step out of my comfort zone to rekindle and initiate some relationships.
- Iโve had to redefine the essence of certain relationships; I had to learn how to be okay with them evolving into a different type of relationship without catching feelings.
- Iโve seen how intentionally investing in certain relationships made huge differences. At times, all it took was a simple text, a phone call, or a physical meet-up, and this has been a game changer in ministry, personally and professionally.
I have so much to share, but this post is long enough. Thanks for reading; I hope you learned a thing or two.
Iโd love to hear from you; what are your top lessons for 2022, it isnโt over yet, but Iโm sure you have something to share. So donโt leave without sharing the wealth!
AND PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO SHARE THIS POST!
With lots of love,
