Hello DDB family!
How have you all been? I surely miss the weekly posts. I miss this space. It is bittersweet, but I have to stay focused!
Do you know that new phase in your life feeling? I’ve been having all of those feelings lately.
Change is good, but it does not always feel good. It comes with new things but can be uncomfortable. I’ve found myself trying to adjust to the newness that God has been downloading into my Spirit. While the end product looks so appealing, I am dreading the process.
You have to grow before you glow up. The growth process has many cycles; just when you feel like you finally got the hang of things, God says, “NO! There is MORE!” So what do you do while you grow through? I’ve made up my mind to enjoy, dancing my way to the process. Complaining, kicking, and screaming during the process don’t do anyone any good. I will not allow growth changes to go through with me and deform me. Instead, I will allow them to make me better.
When I was planning for this new year, I was a bit discouraged because I realized that I started several things last year but did not follow through. I’ve noticed this habit in my life in the past. I seriously thought I was done with the cycle. Instead of beating myself up as it was my custom, I decided to prioritize and restart those things in phases this year.
For example, I started taking speech classes to improve my public speaking skills. I also began to study for a couple of certifications and brush up on my Spanish-speaking skills. Towards the end of 2021, I was exhausted; all I wanted was a do-over; I ended up stopping those things abruptly.
I restarted one of the above yesterday, and I felt so encouraged. It was like I never left; in fact, this time around was way better. Even though I had to force myself to do it, what matters is that I did it!!!
Thankfully every new year, month, and day presents you with the opportunity to start, dream, and believe again! Just like today, it is March 1st! A new month and the last month of the 1st quarter of 2022!
I am here to encourage you to make this month count! If you did not accomplish much of your goals during the last two months, no worries, count those days as moments of gearing up for what is yet to come!
When you’ve captured a vision for your life, it captivates you. It takes you over, and you will be restless until you take your place and play your part to birth its manifestation. It is like a pregnant woman who is due for delivery. As the delivery date approaches, she begins to become restless. She finds herself tired yet unable to stay put. She begins to nest, preparing for the birth of a child that she has carried in her womb for months.

She is full of excitement, yet, anxiety lingers. She is ready and anticipating how her life will change for the better. At the same time, she is praying that everything goes right in the delivery room. One complication and things can escalate rather quickly.
As a believing woman, she will rest when she remembers who her daddy is. She relaxes when she holds on to God’s Word and builds up her faith with prayer and confessions. Her focus is on the baby’s birth; hence she does not have to worry about the birthing process. She leaves those details to the one who gives good and perfect gifts, who gives seeds; the original visionary.
On the day over, as she pushes or goes through a surgical procedure, she relies on the strength that only God can give. She depends on the best midwife, the precious Holy Spirit. She knows no matter what, it will end in praise.
That process is very similar to that of a visionary. The journey to the fulfillment of purpose is not the faint of heart. You gotta put in work; you can only stand by faith. Fear will knock you do and knock you out. It is comparable to a wild ride; there are many bumps and some stops along the way.

What makes the difference between mere dreamers and visionaries is that the latter never gives up! They keep going, they hold on while the winds blow, they shield themselves under the shadow of the almighty, they may fall, but they never stay down, there may be tears, but they know the password of praise; they choose joy intentionally.
Don’t be detoured by failures or fears. Faith will override and beat them hands down. Having faith in God is easier than we make it.
Family, let’s live a whole life. Let us make a difference in our world. Don’t let challenges, current events, random people, or new trends detour you from fulfilling God’s vision for your life. You are bigger, smarter, and stronger than you think. The world is waiting for you!
DON’T GIVE UP!!!
