Hey, fam! How are you?!?!
We have about one more week until the most wonderful time of the year!
I’ve been stalling with my Christmas plans this year! I haven’t purchased any gifts, and I just put up the Christmas tree the other day. I went hunting for some Christmas decor, and the shelves were practically cleared out. I definitely came too late!
My children have been talking about their Christmas gifts for months now. I finally decided to check their lists last week, and it was hilarious. They each had about 5-6 items listed, ranging from $19.99 to $199. I love children; I love their faith. They are never afraid to ask for what they want. They don’t have a sense of independence or responsibility; they unrepentantly believe in Daddy and Mommy’s ability to do the needful.

I was already amazed by my children’s original requests, and then my oldest daughter came home with a shocker on Monday. For some reason, she was extremely excited about showing me a letter that she wrote in school. She kept trying to pass it to me during the drive home, and I told her to be patient as I needed to focus on the road. As soon as we got into the door, she kept trying to shove it in my face. Once again explained to her that she had to be more patient as I needed to prepare dinner.
About two hours later, we had all and were extremely satisfied with our meals. Shout out to me for my incredible cooking skills! After seeing that we all were in high spirits, my wise daughter finally used that opportunity to present her letter to me. As I opened up the paper that had been folded in half, I saw words written in yellow, green, and red. She then proceeds to give me a prelude, “Mommy, today my teacher told us to write a letter to Santa, she told us that our parents are Santa and that’s why I am giving the letter to you.”
Before I could read the words on my own, she started blurting out her requests: “Mommy, for Christmas I want: a kitty zoom camera, an Apple Watch, an iPhone 13, ice skates, and roller skates.” Before I could give a response, my husband and I burst out in laughter. I looked at my phone with minor cracks on the screen and started another round of laughter! I was lost for words. She on the other hand was staring at me and smiling from ear to ear. I finally regained my composure and explained that she would not be getting the phone or watch. She needed to manage her expectations. I did not comment on the other items on her list. However, I am considering the rollerskates; I don’t know how to rollerskate, so I want to give my children the opportunity to learn while they are young.

I usually have a personal mini Christmas list; at times, I buy myself a gift. All I want is some quality time with my family, good food, and relaxation this year. This time around, I am not cooking on Christmas Day, haha. I know you’re probably thinking that is what I said on Thanksgiving Day, but I promise I will not be in the kitchen this time around! The best gift that could be given to me right now is a gift card to a spa or an all-expense paid vacation…I wouldn’t mind a new house and car too…just releasing my desires into the atmosphere :-D. Seriously, I am good this year, I am content (I would accept gifts if given!). God has been good!

The greatest gift that humanity has received is Jesus Christ, the greatest gift that you can give back to humanity is to fulfill the purpose for why you were created. Scripture says it is more blessed to give than to receive. We are given so much so that we can be a blessing to our world. And the beautiful thing about giving is that the more you give, the more you have. Givers never run bankrupt. Givers always have more than enough to meet their needs and the needs of others. In these last days, God is looking for faithful stewards that he can entrust wealth and riches into their hands. Do you qualify? Can God trust you with millions? Billions? When he requests a withdrawal from what he has committed into your hands, can you let it go without thinking twice? Ponder on that, answer those questions and determine if you are ready to be a kingdom financier.
As we approach the celebration of the birth of Jesus, I want to be encouraged! Position yourself to birth all the deposits of greatness from within. Your life is a beautifully wrapped gift, as you unwrap each layer by being a giver, you’ll notice that the content is far better than the packaging. You are special; you are one of a kind; you are a masterpiece; you are wonderfully made. The world is waiting for you! Don’t deny the world of the gift of YOU any longer!

I love you, fam! I look forward to reading and responding to your comments!
With lots of love,
