On Friday, I will be +1; my life has been an interesting journey. With the highs and lows, the great days and not-so-good ones, I am grateful. The unfolding of my story has been beautiful; even when things got ugly and messy, God turned it around and gave me beauty for ashes.
I had the privilege of seeing my mentor physically after two years, and she told me something. She said, “Don’t get comfortable; life is not about what you do for God but what he would have you do.”
That sentence hit me like a ton of bricks. It was a wake-up call from God to step my game up because there is more to do…more ground to cover…more lives to impact.
In this new year, I throw my hands up in surrender. No more whining and complaining; no, my throwing tantrums. I accept ALL of his Will for me because I know it is the best for me.
Living out my purpose is not about me; it is about meeting the needs of others by serving humanity. God will take of me! He always does!
