For those of you that have been visiting time and time again, I love you! Thanks so much for the support, comments and feedback! You are amazing!!!
Now let me answer my own question! Hmmmm, I have been extremely busy and on the verge of being overwhelmed on many levels and in many areas of my life. My days have consist of numerous meetings, various webinars, a million and one tasks, projects and programs. One Word to summarize the last couple of months is INTENSE!
A few weeks ago, I found myself asking the question “How did I get here?” I had my four month old baby saddled to my back, my two year old asking me ten thousand questions at once and my five year old asking for assistance with her virtual school assignment. That day, I really needed a break, I decided to take a deep breath and as I exhaled I was transported to a point in time when I earnestly prayed for my present reality. When thoughts of the possibility of never being able to have a baby of my own, haunted me. A time when loneliness plagued me. A time when I felt lost and purposeless. I prayed like my life depended on it, I cried out to God to liberate me from the things that had imprisoned me.
And he heard my cry! I snapped back to reality and I looked around me, my home, family, discovery of purpose, my achievements, and much more were once prayer points. They became testimonies and I would be ungrateful to begin to complain about them. The cry of my baby now sounded like music in my ears, the messy living room was now creative chaos, the unfolded laundry that had taken up residence in our guest room was now a reflection of how much God has clothed us, the constant calls and chats/text messages were reminders that purpose is a responsibility that requires hard work.
That day, I made a decision to choose peace. Peace is not the absence of chaos, it is a revelation of and an intimate relationship with the prince of peace. I realized that embracing the new me required disengaging the old me. I was not going to fall into the temptation of throwing the litest pity party. I was not going to beat myself up for not being more structured and organized. I’ve done it all before…thrown several pity parties and beaten myself up until I was burnt out!
Dis-engaging the old you involves thorough observation of the things that hold you back from dreaming, believing and achieving. Those self limiting thoughts that tell you that your vision is irrational and convince you to settle down with misery…as you know, misery loves company. At the beginning of 2020, I made up my mind to choose my company wisely. I wanted to be conscious of maintaining inner peace and turning my potentials into power; the past few years have been interesting for lack better words. I had to take charge and ensure that I did not end another year with excuses!
Now I understand why God kept telling me to rest at the beginning of the year. After giving birth, I was ever ready to be up and running instead of relaxing and enjoying the moments. I am a go-getter, when anything is asked of me, I bring my A game, I will go above and beyond until what I visualized is actualized. While this is a great attitude to have, there must be balance. There must be times of rest, there must be a willingness to collaborate, a willingness to ask for and receive help, there must be a resolution to achieve results with sanity in tact!
Health is wealth, and health is multidimensional. Wholeness incorporates healthiness spirit, soul and body. If your body is tight but your mind is not right, you are not whole. If your pockets are fat but your relationships are draining you, you are not whole. If you’re scaling new heights in your business or career yet you don’t have a relationship with your creator, you are not whole. An impairment in any area of your life will impact your entire being. The real you is your spirit (your core/innermost part of your being), if it is truly connected to it’s source, it will impact upon the soul and body. That vital connection, will push you to pay attention to your soul and feed it with spiritual food (the Bible, messages by anointed ministers) until it is robust. That same spiritual food will tell ensure that you treat your body right as it is the residence of the Holy Spirit and it is needed to fulfill those great dreams. Go for complete wholeness, don’t fake it take hold of it!
Be true to yourself, keep it real and ensure that you don’t short change yourself. Don’t allow those negative cycles to repeat themselves. Drop the loads that have held you bound! Refuse those things that have hindered you for so long! New levels demand higher versions of you. The old you can not accomplish your new goals. Don’t allow the old you to stop the new you, push past the doubts, uncertainties and insecurities. Don’t limit yourself! Don’t limit the God in you! Dig deep and connect with the real you and take your references from there.
There is so much going on in the world today, injustice, rape, and a plague. It is painful and alarming. All of this is calling for a higher version of you, your state will determine your response!
I truly pray that I was able to inspire you today. Wake Up! Get Up! and make up your mind to succeed! Time is ticking, make it count!
With lots of love,
