It’s 2020!!! What an exciting new year and decade! Oh, what an amazing time to be alive!!!

For all my returning readers, thank you so much for all your support throughout the years; in times of my inconsistency, etc thanks for encouraging me to continue writing with your likes, comments, and emails. I pray for the grace to continuously be a blessing regardless of the seasons of my life. Every season has a lesson that I believe that when shared, others can learn from and become better for it. Do me a favor, leave a comment and tell me the type of posts that you’ve enjoyed reading on this blog; are there any topics that you’d love for me to discuss? I want to hear from you!!!

Let me introduce myself to the newbies, my name is Bunmi Adebiyi. I was born in Houston, TX  and raised in Brooklyn, NY by Nigerian immigrants. I am the oldest of four children, 3 girls, and 1 boy. My life is a beautiful story of how grace saves and beautifies. I grew up confused, lonely and desperate for a type of love that surpassed fairy tales and romantic films; in my search for this love, I met many counterfeits which in turn took me on a journey of many years. The journey was filled with hurt, disappointments, fear, low self-esteem, and many more unpleasant surprises. However, my life changed drastically when I came into the most important relationship of my life; after many trials and errors, I finally found true love!!!

My purpose in life is to introduce people to true love! True love heals, saves, restores and delivers. I hate to see people suffer and labor for what true love freely gives. I am a pastor at God’s Love Tabernacle, located in Houston, TX, I am a wife and mother to three beautiful girls, I am a mentor, and author of the book titled “Lust is Blind” which can be previewed and purchased on Amazon and Okadabooks. I am also trained as a Public Health Professional. And there is much more to me that is unfolding, so watch out!!!

This new year is so significant, it is so easy to go through the motions and end up with business as usual. But I want to encourage you to be intentional about what you desire for your life this year and beyond, you’ve been given a clean slate…run with it! This new year is for go-getters, not for lazy folks. You have to do much more than putting pen to paper (which is very good…goal setting, vision boards, etc are the first step), this year requires you to take steps and leaps of faith. It is time to break out of your comfort zone, there are new frontiers that need to be established!!!

For me, I have been spending time rest and waiting on God for the blueprints. I refuse to move without getting clear cut instructions, I refuse to make assumptions. I would advise that you do the same, wait on God…it is never a waste of time, in fact, it is proper time management. Once you get a go-ahead, make that move baby!!!

In this new year, I pray that you will be bold enough to take charge of your life and blossom into the best version of yourself, I pray that you will scale heights that will bring you into prominence, it will shock you how much and how far you’ll be at the end of this year. I pray that you will enjoy rest on every side, God will increase you more and more and comfort you on every side; you are satisfied with favor, you enjoy so much grace and ease!!! This is your season, this is your time, it is a new dawn! There is a springing forth of new things, relationships, material possessions, financial freedom, destiny partnerships and much more.
